UPDATE ON TODAY’S COURT APPEARANCE FOR EMEKA UGWUONYE

The court heard argument on Emeka’s bail application in the two charges filed against him by the police.

They could not reach a judgment today on the applications. The court adjourned till 30th January to give it’s ruling. The court had wanted to give it’s judgment next week, but the prosecution insisted that next week date was not convenient. In the end, the Court set the date for 30th January.

The DPA Founder, though disappointed that no earlier date was available, has urged all Advocates to take the later date in good spirit. It does not make much of a difference.

DPA will announce changes in it’s schedule of events to accommodate the fact that the Founder will not be available till likely next month. Members whose cases require the personal attention of the Founder will receive instructions on alternative arrangements.
