HENCE, I DATE NO MORE BUT MY WIFE TO BE:

“Love is blind” so they say;

Even the holders, both are same;

So sad to glue my heart tight to Glory;

But in dismay,I may tell my story;

About the slippery journey that drove my soul to a tall babe;

Peace I thought was mine,as my mouth called her angel;

Right she thought was hers,whilst she fled my heart with no sorry;

Behold,my wet heart she licked with her seeming milky, but with;

A pretentious innocent tongue;

Hmm! So sweet I felt, as my joy drowned into a silent oblivion;

Ah! Red, red, so blinked the green purse in my hand;

Euphoria became hers after sucking the hero’s treasury to emptiness;

Like a child, the man wept, hoping for another peel of fortune.

True love is relished when by Nature;

Love is kind and generous ;

But scarce to get one to bind;

Two hearts together in amorous;

Joy, lasting until comes the eternal peace of mind.

Kpim, kpim, so my heart struck with a heavy bit;

Wondering if a true love ever exists free with no deceit?

Yes love does! But pay not a dime for it.

But hard my heart found it to love again;

Though willing is the body, but my spirit;

Still weak, groaning in pain;

Turning everylove, everybabe down against another cheat.

In tears, I wait upon you, my friends;

I beseech you! Tell me where my wrongs lie?

Is it a desperation or act of impatience;

That led my heart, even my mouth to kiss a bitter sweet tongue?

O, This is killing me!

O my friends, hear my voice;

Whether she be blind or not, still love her;

With guard, self-control, by Nature’s wisdom;

Kiss not her lips for once, for there;

Lies her tongue with deceit and with a sweet venom.

-Chikwado,

The Blind Poet.
