Jungle justice situation arises in every situation where an attempt is made to obtain justice outside the rules of law laid down for rendering justice in the given situation.

Whether it is a mob action seeking to lynch a crime suspect, or police officers engaged in extrajudicial killings, or a powerful person taking the law into his hand and resorting to self-help, or a court of law violating the due process rights of a litigant: all are instances of jungle justice.

DPA seeks to prevent jungle justice through the following measures:

(1) Creating public awareness against jungle justice.

(2) Emergency responses to jungle justice situation in support with local law enforcement agency.

(3) Fundamental rights enforcement measures.

(4) Provision of assistance with legal services for the protection of jungle justice.
